Job Description
Position: Maintenance Technician
Pay: $20/hour - $25/hour Based on experience
Shift: 1st
Location: Sheridan, MI
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively work to reduce maintenance repair and preventive maintenance costs.
- Assist in developing plans to reduce breakdown related downtime.
- Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions.
- Keep all work areas clean and free of oil.
- Minimize the amount of downtime associated with repairs.
- Additional education as required to help reduce external maintenance repair cost.
- Properly complete and file all required maintenance document.
- Effectively communicate with other departments and shifts.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance activities in a timely manner.
- Participates in continuous improvement process as required.
- Participates in 8D problem solving as required.
- Performs all other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years plastic industry maintenance experience including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to supply own tools.
- Ability to obtain valid hi-lo license.
- Knowledge of state and federal environmental and OSHA laws preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate competency through testing and job performance after training.
